LUCIA GROSSBERGER MORALES

1979 Lucia Grossberger Morales (LGM) saw the Apple II Computer. That night, she dreamt she was a ten-year-old boy walking on the shore. Embedded in the sand was a black box. When Lucia opened the box, tiny dots of light danced in the night sky. When Lucia woke up, she knew the computer would be her art medium. She created digital images for seven years and learned about the Apple II hardware and software. In the '80s, LGM coauthored the Designer's Tool Kit, a graphics program published by Apple Computer, Inc. LGM's artwork and software on the Apple II computer are archived at the Rochester Museum of Play.

LGM has exhibited digital, interactive altars, CDR-ROMs, and installations in Museums and films in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. She has a B.A. in Anthropology and M.S. in Instructional Technology from USC.
